Dear Editor,
My husband and I are both active duty and attending the Command and General Staff College. My children attend school off post in Leavenworth.
During this past summer break, I was worried about their summer care during their off school season. Since I have never experienced School-Age Services on post, I was a little nervous as to what to expect for my 7-year-old daughter.
Little did I know, the SAS summer program was outstanding. My child adjusted well by the first day. The teachers were absolutely incredible and were very caring to my daughter considering she was new to the program. Their friendliness and professionalism allowed my daughter to adjust to her environment and have an amazing summer with field trips that allowed her to learn and explore social skills and independency.
