The Command and General Staff College Golden Pen Award program provides recognition to personnel assigned to the college for their literary achievements.
The awards were presented June 1 in Eisenhower Auditorium in the Lewis and Clark Center by CGSC Deputy Commandant Brig. Gen. Edward Cardon.
The Golden Pen program recognizes that publication is an important aspect of lifelong leader learning. Not only does it demonstrate the staff member’s personal effort involved in research, but also demonstrates a desire to contribute to the academic body of knowledge. The award ceremony demonstrates the writer’s personal effort involved in research and a desire to collaborate and share new ideas and perspectives.
There were three categories of winners: golden, silver and bronze.
