  • The Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club “Not for Sissies” Fun Shoot starts at 9 a.m. July 20 at Brunner Range, 701 Sheridan Drive. Cost is $50 per person and includes 90 targets, 45 pairs, food and opportunities to win prizes. Volunteers are needed and will be entered into an ammunition drawing.     The Army 10-Miler Qualifiers is at 7 a.m. July 27 and Aug. 24 at Hancock Gate. This is open to active-duty military stationed at Fort Leavenworth only.     The Survivor Outreach Services Run/Walk for the Fallen is at 8 a.m. Sept. 14 at the Resiliency Center, 600 Thomas Ave. Same-day registration is at 6:30 a.m. All ages and abilities are welcome for this non-competitive run to honor those who are fallen but not forgotten.     Strike Zone Bowling Center has new hours. Bowling hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. The grill is open from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday.

    Better Opportunities for Single Soldiers Bowling Night is 6-9 p.m. every last Friday of the month at Strike Zone Bowling Center. Admission is free for BOSS soldiers.
