  • The Department of Public Works Environmental and Natural Resources will recognize National Public Lands Day from 4:30-7 p.m. Oct. 11 at Sherman Army Airfield.     The Fort Leavenworth Historical Society is hosting crossing the line: desegregating the army of 1944 at 7 p.m. Oct. 11 at the Leavenworth Public Library, 417 Spruce St., with speaker Dr. Thomas Hanson, former chair of the Department of Military History at the Command and General Staff College.
    Thomas A. Gray, the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command liaison to the Combined Arms Center and Army University, will discuss The Domain of Space and National Security from 12:30-1:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in Arnold Conference Room of the Lewis and Clark Center as part of the Interagency Brown-Bag Lecture Series.
    The General of the Armies John J. Pershing Great War Centennial Series continues with Caesar Without Legions: The German Army And The Fate Of The Kaiser at 6 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Stove Factory ballroom, 417 S. 2nd Street, Leavenworth. Dr. Donald Scott Stephenson, of the CGSC Department of Military History, will examine the Kaiser’s decision.
