  • The Home-School Meet and Greet is 10-11:30 a.m. Aug. 10 at Harrold Youth Center. This is an opportunity for families new to Fort Leavenworth to meet and learn what resources and programs are available in the local community.     Back -to-School Teen Fest 2018 is 5-9 p.m. Aug. 17 at Harrold Youth Center. Event includes a DJ, games, raffles, photo booth, food and more. Bring money for concession stands. For information call 684-5118.
    The Fort Leavenworth Rod and Gun Club Kids’ Fishing Derby is at 8 a.m. Sept. 29 at Smith Lake. Cost is $3 for non-members; members fish for free. Bait will be available for purchase at the event. Medallions will be awarded to the top anglers in each of the five age groups and there will also be door and participation prizes. Hotdogs and drinks will be available for purchase during the event.
