      Elementary enrollment



      A meeting for parents of all elementary school students is at 3 p.m. Aug. 9 at each neighborhood elementary school.



      Enrollment is 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25 for last names A-L and July 26 for last names M-Z at neighborhood elementary schools. Attendance areas are posted at www.usd207.org under the "Enrollment" tab.



      What to bring





      •  Proof-of-residency letter from Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities.


      •  Immunization record.


      •  Birth certificate for preschool, kindergarten and first grades.


      •  Completed physical form if new to Kansas schools and age 8 or younger.


      •  Report cards from last school attended.


      •  Any special education records.




      Age requirements



      Children must be 4 years old on or before Aug. 31 to enter pre-school. Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31 to enter kindergarten. No exceptions — state law.



      School day



      8:05 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.



      Pre-school is 8:30-11:15 a.m.



      or noon to 2:45 p.m.



      Half-day kindergarten is 8:05-11:30 a.m.



      Bus schedules



      Students attending Eisenhower Elementary who live in Normandy, Osage and South Osage Village housing areas walk, and all other Eisenhower students are bused. All Bradley students walk. Students attending MacArthur need to check the website bus schedule posted at www.usd207.org/Transportation.



      Classroom assignments



      Classroom assignments will be posted online on Skyward Family Access after 4 p.m. Aug. 9. Visit a child’s new classroom from 2-3:30 p.m. Aug. 13.

      Junior High enrollment



      There is a meeting for parents of new junior high school students at 5 p.m. July 20 at the Patton Junior High School gymnasium. Junior high enrollment is 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25 for last names A-L and July 26 for last names M-Z at Patton Junior High School.

      Math placement testing



      All seventh-, eighth- and ninth-grade students who are new to USD 207 must take a math placement test before they can receive their class schedules. Testing is available from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. July 25 and 26 at Patton Junior High School. Testing takes about one hour.



      School orientation and class schedules



      All seventh-grade students will receive their schedules at orientation 7:45-10:30 a.m. Aug. 13. New eighth- and ninth-grade students will receive their schedules at orientation 1-2:30 p.m. Aug. 13. Returning eighth- and ninth-grade students will receive their schedules during orientation at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 13.



      Bus schedules



      Students in Normandy, Osage and South Osage Village housing areas are within walking distance. All other students will take a bus. Bus schedules will be posted at www.usd207.org/Transportation and on the front of the school by Aug. 9.



      Know Your School Night



      "Know Your School Night," a meeting for parents designed to provide information about USD 207, is at 5:30 p.m. Aug. 16 at Patton Junior High School.
