The staff at Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities is excited to announce that starting May 1 all homes in Old Oregon Village will be a flat-rate rent for all new leases and lease renewals, opening the village to all active-duty ranks, military retirees, and Department of Defense and Department of Justice civilians. The new flat rent rate will be $800 per month for a three-bedroom home and $900 per month for a four-bedroom home.
Old Oregon is nestled among mature trees on the west side of Fort Leavenworth. These bungalow style ranch homes all feature hardwood and vinyl flooring with dishwasher, stove and refrigerator included. Full, unfinished basements extend the length of the three-bedroom homes. Complete lawn care service outside of fenced in areas is included. Also, residents can enjoy access to the FLFHC community building and gym at 220 Hancock Ave.
For all current Old Oregon Village residents, the terms of the original lease agreement remain in effect. Current residents who wish to take advantage of the new, lower rate offered would be required to renew their lease agreement for a new term, otherwise current standing lease terms and rental rates continue to apply.
Residents who want to transfer from their current home/village outside of Old Oregon Village should contact the Community Management office at (913) 682-6300.

    Utilities tip
In the average home, 75 percent of the electricity used to power home electronics is consumed while the products are turned off. This can be avoided by unplugging the appliance or using a power strip and using the switch on the power strip to cut all power to the appliance.
