    Soldier For Life - Transition Assistance Program workshops are mandatory for all military personnel transitioning from active-duty service. The workshops are also available to spouses of transitioning military on a space-available basis. TAP workshops are five days from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.     The Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program offers a monthly Federal Application Seminar on submitting applications using the USAJobs website. The Civilian Personnel Advisory Center will provide instruction. The seminar covers navigating the USAJobs portal and preparing a resumé to apply for government employment. Classes are from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 29, April 26 and May 24 in room 131 of the Resiliency Center.     Hiring Our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program is taking applications for the second and third cohort of 2018. The CFP places service members with 180 days or less of active duty time into a 12-week fellowship (internship) program. The program provides mid to upper level corporate experience, credentialing education and career skills training. Selection for the program is competitive but placement rates average 80 percent per cohort.     Veterans Affairs is providing a Career technical Training workshop from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 17-18, June 7-8, Aug. 28-29 and Oct. 11-12 in room 131 of the Resiliency Center. The workshop helps build a personalized career development assessment of occupational interests and abilities, and participants will learn to utilize self-sustaining tools to narrow their career focus by establishing achievable career goals and self-development strategies.     English as a Second Language for Spouses is 10:30 a.m. to noon every Monday and Wednesday and 1-3 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday at the Resiliency Center. The free classes combine hands-on activities, work with a textbook using vocabulary words and illustrations and cultural learning through crafts. For more information call 684-2800.
    Become a Family Child Care provider. A free training program is offered that will guide students step-by-step through the certification process. For more information, call 684-5117.
    The U.S. Army Career Skills Program assists service members and families in finding employment as they get ready to transition out of the service. CSP is designed to provide employment skills training that includes credentialing, training, apprenticeships or internships to active-duty service members who will soon be leaving the service in hopes that these opportunities will result in job offers or provide invaluable resumé-building experiences. The program is open to all service members (with command approval) who will be within 180 days of leaving service when the program starts.     The Soldier for Life - Transition Assistance Program has a Transition Education Counselor in the center Tuesdays through Thursdays to assist with selecting a school or discipline, document current educational achievements and help with programs or benefits that are available after separation from active military service.
