  • The Vietnam War Commemoration Lecture Series presentation “The CORDS Program in Vietnam” by Dr. Jim Willbanks is tonight at the Stove Factory Ballroom, 417 S. 2nd Street, in Leavenworth. The reception is at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation is at 6 p.m.
    The 312th Army Band Holiday Concert is at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Lewis and Clark Center’s Eisenhower Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

    The Fort Leavenworth Historical Society presentation “Great Blizzard” by Dr. David Mills is at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Leavenworth Public Library, 417 Spruce St. in Leavenworth.
    The Strike Zone Bowling Center New Year’s Eve Bash is from 9 a.m. Dec. 31 to 1 a.m. Jan. 1. Rock-n-glow bowling, buffet and prizes will be available. The cost is $30 for adults and $25 for children 5-14 (children under 5 are free).
    Family Cosmic Bowling is 9 p.m. to midnight every first Saturday of the month at Strike Zone Bowling Center. Two hours of bowling and shoe rental is $5 per person. For more information, call (913) 651-2195.
