  • Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities
It’s time to start preparing for snow and ice.
Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities will only remove snow and ice from starts, stops, hills, school sidewalks and crosswalks, public sidewalks, roads and parking lots in residential areas only if there are two or more inches. Residents are responsible for the removal of snow and ice between any common sidewalk or road and the front or back door and driveways.
During a snowstorm or unsafe weather conditions, snow and ice removal will be delayed until weather conditions ease and return to a safe status.
Residents are asked not to use salt products to deice around their homes because it can damage the concrete.
For more information about snow and ice removal, see the Resident Guidelines and Community Handbook or call (913) 682-6300.
    Retirees, civilians
Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities is offering leasing opportunities to military retirees, Department of Defense civilians and Department of Justice civilians.
Beautiful and historic Fort Leavenworth has much to offer families, including a safe and secure environment in which to live, work and play; excellent schools; and convenient proximity to Kansas City, the surrounding metropolitan area and the many attractions the Midwest has to offer. Amenities include lawn service, 24-hour maintenance services, a state-of-the-art fitness center, a fitness center playroom for children, a gourmet kitchen in the community room that can be reserved for events with an outdoor seating, and playgrounds.
Contact FLFHC for more information and availability. Select neighborhoods and a variety of homes and styles are available and restrictions may apply.

For each eligible resident referred who is new to the area and signs a six-month lease, both the referrer and the referred will receive $250.
New residents must take occupancy within 45 days of application. The referral source must be listed on the application and be a current resident to qualify. Other restrictions may apply.

    Extended absence
FLFHC would like to remind residents to notify the Community Management Office if they will be gone from their home for more than seven days. In addition, residents are encouraged to provide contact information to a friend, neighbor or family member in the local area in case of emergency to allow for adequate care of their home during their absence.
If an emergency arises during a resident’s absence, a member of the FLFHC staff may need to enter the home. Written notice of the entry will be left in the home if this happens. Contact the Community Management Office at (913) 682-6300 with any questions or concerns.

    Utilities tip
Plan lighting. Not every room needs the same amount of general light. A good lighting plan can reduce lighting costs and still provide all the light needed.
