  • The Fort Leavenworth Holiday tree lighting event is from 4-6 p.m. Dec. 1 at Zais Park. The event features photo stations, carriage rides and music from a 312th Army Band ensemble. Memorial Chapel will also be open during the event.
    The Fort Leavenworth Spouses’ Club holiday bazaar is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Dec. 2 at the USD 207 Annex, 350 Biddle Blvd. VIP shopping is from 9-10 a.m. and entry during that time is $8.     The youth play “A Fairy Tale Christmas Carol” is at 7 p.m. Dec. 5 and 7 at the Post Theater. The play is free and open to the public.
    The German Army families are hosting a GERMAN CHRISTMAS SERVICE at 6 p.m. Dec. 6 in Memorial Chapel. For more information, call 684-4769.
    The Vietnam War Commemoration Lecture Series presentation “The CORDS Program in Vietnam” by Dr. Jim Willbanks is Dec. 7 at the Stove Factory Ballroom, 417 S. 2nd Street, in Leavenworth. The reception is at 5:30 p.m. and the presentation is at 6 p.m.
    The 312th Army Band HolIday Concert is at 7 p.m. Dec. 9 in the Lewis and Clark Center’s Eisenhower Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

    The Fort Leavenworth Historical Society presentation “Great Blizzard” by Dr. David Mills is at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Leavenworth Public Library, 417 Spruce St. in Leavenworth.
