  • The Turkey Shoot Scramble golf tournament is at 10 a.m. Nov. 18 at Trails West Golf Course. The event is a relaxed four-person scramble with a breakfast buffet at 9 a.m. Entry is $40 for members, $55 for non-members and $30 for youth 16 and under. Pre-pay and save $5.     The Mission Command Training Program and Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Turkey Trot 5K is at 8 a.m. Nov. 19 at Harney Sports Complex. Same-day registration is from 6:30-7:30 a.m. The first-place finishers in each age division win a turkey. Second- and third-place finishers will receive medals. The route is stroller and pet friendly. The run will take place rain or shine, no refunds.
    The Fort Leavenworth Adventure Series November Orienteer meet is Nov. 28 at the parking lot south of Gruber Fitness Center. The staggered start is from 8-9:30 a.m. The cost is $15 per person or $35 per family, and the registration fee includes orienteer maps, race passport, finisher awards and post-race refreshments.
