  • The Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth Women’s Equality Day Luncheon is 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 14 at the Frontier Conference Center. Guest speaker is Maj. Gen. Maria R. Gervais, deputy commanding general, CAC-Training. Lunch menu includes beef lasagna, vegetable lasagna, garden salad, garlic bread, roasted garlic green beans and double chocolate cake.     Army Community Service’s Waiting Families Lunch Bunch will meet 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 16 and Sept. 20 at the Frontier Conference Center. The lunch is a social gathering for families of deployed soldiers, soldiers on unaccompanied tours and soldiers whose family has chosen to stay at Fort Leavenworth. For information call 684-3825.

    The Army Ten-Miler tryout is at 7 a.m. Aug. 19 at Hancock Gate. The event is open to active-duty military stationed at Fort Leavenworth.
