Munson Army Health Center has joined the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's information campaign to let parents and caregivers know about the changes to children and infant acetaminophen concentration and labeling. The Pediatric Clinic and the Family Medicine Clinic will be providing information to patients during visits over the next couple of months. The Protected Health Information town hall meetings are from 9-11 a.m. Jan. 17 and 9-11 a.m. and 1-3 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Post Theater. The meetings are for company, battery and battalion level command teams at Fort Leavenworth to improve understanding of PHI limitations, notification standards and further improve communication between the military treatment facility leadership, medical providers and the command teams. Smith Dental Clinic’s mission is to provide professional dental care and treatment services to all active-duty personnel assigned to the area.
The Dental Command’s goal is to have 95 percent of active-duty personnel at class 1 or 2 for dental readiness. Currently, the database reflects lower than usual dental readiness for personnel assigned at Fort Leavenworth.
