The Interactive Customer Evaluation system is a web-based set of tools for collecting customer feedback from authorized users via online comment cards. The ICE system enables Department of Defense organizations to collect comments about the products and services that they offer, so that those services and products may be improved upon to meet customer expectations. The main purpose of the ICE system is to determine customer satisfaction. It allows the exchange of concerns, statements, and recommendations between the individual customer and the service provider manager.
Who is on ICE? There are 304 Army, 124 Navy, 138 Air Force and 45 Marine Corps installations and communities currently utilizing the ICE system. There are 45 other agencies and organizations and 50 National Guard sites also available in the system.
How do I get to Fort Leavenworth’s ICE Page? Go to the main ICE page at http://ice.disa.mil and type Fort Leavenworth in the search bar in the top right portion of the screen.
What are the main benefits of using the ICE system? The ICE system is intended to enable customers to contribute timely feedback about the product and services that they have utilized. ICE gives the customers access directly to the service providers. Additionally, the system can be accessed from any computer with Internet access and is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
What is done with ICE submissions? When an ICE comment is submitted, an e-mail is generated. Within minutes, this e-mail is sent to the subscribed managers for that service provider.
Who gets the ICE submission? Each service provider in the system has more than one manager — in fact, most have at least four managers. These managers are responsible for responding to customers when a response is requested. They also work to resolve issues that may present. The Garrison commander receives a weekly report of all submissions while directors and managers receive a monthly report of all ICE submissions for tracking to identify trends.
How private are the comments and information in the ICE system? ICE comment card submissions are intended to be anonymous. ICE does not purposely track or log information about individual submitters. Submitters are not required to login or otherwise identify themselves to ICE to submit a comment card.
Customer Management Services includes the Interactive Customer Evaluation and Community FIRST (Feedback, Issues, Resolutions, Solutions, Today) systems to provide a voice for the customer and to determine if the Garrison is adequately providing for the needs of those who work, play and live on the installation.
