Employee forums have become a popular venue for the Garrison commander to speak to Garrison Department of Defense civilian employees. The Garrison commander uses this opportunity to discuss hot topics, dispel rumors, and answer employee questions and concerns. Each monthly forum is broken down by the grades of employees.
The most recent forum was with 13 General Schedule employees, grades GS-3 to GS-8. The recent survey for Voluntary Early Retirement Authority and Voluntary Separation Incentive Payment options were among the topics discussed with the Garrison commander.
One employee requested that a 2009 memorandum be reconsidered as it restricts the maximum allowance for time off awards while another requested that civilians working after-hour shifts have access to the new dining facility. These questions are currently being considered by the Garrison Command.
The next Garrison roundtable is scheduled for 11 a.m. Aug. 24 at the Resiliency Center, at 600 Thomas Ave. for Wage Grade employees from WG-09 to WG-12, WL-08, WL-09 and WS-06.
Employees GS-9 through GS-12 will be oinvited to a Sept. 28 roundtable, while those in grades GS-3 through GS-8 will have another opportunity Oct. 26. For more information about employee roundtables, contact the Garrison Workforce Development Office at 684-1606 or e-mail sue.melton@us.army.mil.
Customer Management Services includes the Interactive Customer Evaluation and Community FIRST (Feedback, Issues, Resolutions, Solutions, Today) systems to provide a voice for the customer and to determine if the Garrison is adequately providing for the needs of those who work, play and live on the installation. For more information, contact Angela Banks, program and management analyst in the Plans, Analysis and Integration Office, at 684-1750 or e-mail angela.banks2@us.army.mil.
