Fort Leavenworth Frontier Heritage Communities offers many exciting and fun filled activities and events for residents. A more personal advantage to being a FLFHC resident is a unique program for the spouses of deployed service members and the Maintenance Department available for all residents.
The FLFHC staff understands the challenges of not having the military spouse around, whether it is the husband or wife. The FLFHC deployed spouses program offers a range of assistance from general lawn upkeep during the warmer months to snow removal during the winter months. Any resident whose spouse is deployed and wants to take advantage of this program can visit the FLFHC office at 549 Kearney Ave. to enroll. Be sure to bring a copy of the spouse’s deployment orders and fill out the questionnaire available in the office.
For other help, such as repairing a window blind or tightening a faucet, the FLFHC Maintenance Department is available. FLFHC’s service technicians assist with work orders from different categories, such as general, routine, urgent and emergency work orders; this is another advantage that all residents can benefit from. Work orders can be scheduled for any general or emergency maintenance by contacting the Maintenance Department at (913) 651-3838.
Snow and ice
All residents are asked not to use salt products when attempting to remove snow and ice from concrete areas. Salt products can cause concrete damage, which can damage a home’s foundation.
Holiday decorations
Residents are reminded that electrical holiday decorations must be removed within two weeks after the holiday.
