The Army Career and Alumni Program three-day Transition Assistance Program workshop is Sept. 16-18 at the Frontier Conference Center. Presenters from the Kansas Department of Commerce and the Veterans Administration will provide information on the job search process. Civilian attire is recommended. Military service members, Department of Defense civilian employees and family members are invited to call the ACAP center at 684-2227/2591 to register for this free workshop.

The Army Physical Fitness Research Institute at the Command and General Staff College is looking for a supervisory physical therapist. Duties include coordinating a team of health fitness instructors and physical therapy assistants, completing evaluations and carrying out treatment plans for participants as needed. Job would include supervising and conducting strength and flexibility assessments. Join a motivated team of professionals in providing health and wellness promotion. The PRE-SEPARATION BRIEFING uses the Army Career and Alumni Program XXI computer system to inform transitioning service members of benefits that may be available to them. Soldiers may initiate pre-separation counseling up to 24 months before retirement and all others up to 12 months before their separation date. Individuals must have an AKO account and know their user name and password to use the ACAP XXI system. Call ACAP at 684-2227 to schedule the one-hour briefing from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, and 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. FAMILY CHILD CARE PROVIDERS are needed. Child, Youth and School Services is currently recruiting spouses interested in providing child care in their homes. People providing child care on post must be certified and approved if they are caring for children in their home on a regular basis for more than 10 hours per week.
