In remembrance of the Buffalo Soldiers and in tribute to the 20th anniversary of the Buffalo Soldier Monument, a bust of Brig. Gen. Benjamin H. Grierson, the first commander of the 10th Cavalry Regiment, will be added to the “Circle of Firsts” near the Buffalo Soldier Monument in a ceremony at 9:30 a.m. Aug. 8. The public is welcome and invited to attend.
