    A meeting for parents of all elementary school students is at 3 p.m. Aug. 7 at each neighborhood elementary school. Enrollment is July 30 at neighborhood elementary schools. Attendance areas are posted on the front doors of each building.

    Late enrollees report to building office to enroll.


    What to bring

    • Immunization record.

    • Child’s Social Security number.

    • Birth certificate for kindergarten and first grades.

    • Completed physical form if new to Kansas schools and age 8 or younger.

    • Report cards from last school attended.

    • Any special education records.


    Kindergarten age requirements

    Children must be 5 years old on or before Aug. 31. No exceptions — state law.


    School day

    8:05 a.m. to 3:20 p.m.

    Half-day kindergarten    8:05-11:30 a.m.


    Bus schedules

    Students attending Bradley and MacArthur who live west of Hancock Avenue will be bused. Students attending Eisenhower who live in Osage Village and Normandy Village housing areas will walk, and all other Eisenhower students will be bused. Bus schedules will be posted at www.ftlvn.com and on the front of the schools by Aug. 6.


    Class rosters

    Classroom lists by teacher and grade will be posted on the front of the buildings by Aug. 6.  Visit a child’s new classroom from 2-3:30 p.m. Aug. 8.

    USD?207 offers an online service for managing school meal accounts. Parents can check meal balances and make payments  using Visa or Mastercard. Payments are automatically received by the cafeteria within minutes. The service is available at www.EZSchoolPay.com. When creating an account, be prepared to enter each student’s six-digit ID.
