CAC and Premium DS Logon account users can access their personal health data via the TRICARE Online Blue Button. Because of security and privacy rules and regulations, MHS/iAS username and password users cannot access their personal health data via the TRICARE Online Blue Button. Recognizing that having an account type that offers limited access is both confusing and inconvenient for users, TRICARE Online will be retiring the MHS/iAS username and password accounts.

Users will no longer be able to access or log into TRICARE Online using the MHS/iAS username and password beginning the first week of August. Users who currently access using a MHS/iAS username and password are urged to register for a Premium DS Logon account so they can continue to access TRICARE Online after the first week of August.

Register for a Premium DS Logon account today and start accessing personal health data via TRICARE Online. Registering for a Premium DS Logon account is easy. Eligible parties, including DoD sponsors, spouses, family members ages 18 and older, retirees and veterans who are in Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting Systems, can register quickly and easily online. To register for a Premium DS Logon account, visit the DoD My Access Center website at https://www.dmdc.osd.mil/identitymanagement/, click on “Don’t have a DS Logon? / Create a Basic / Premium DS Logon account” and follow prompts to create a Premium DS Logon Account.

If users need help registering for a Premium DS Logon Account, click “For assistance, please refer to the How to Guides.” The “How to” guide titled, “Register for a Premium Account by Remote Proofing” is recommended for users who do not currently have a DS Logon account and would like to sign up using a quick and convenient online registration process. Note that although remote proofing is available, there is an alternative in-person proofing process for those who are unable to successfully complete the remote proofing online.

As an alternative, users can register via in-person proofing by visiting a TRICARE Service Center or Veterans Affairs Regional Office, where an onsite representative can assist with Premium DS Logon account registration.
